Welcome letter from the chair
On behalf of the planning Committee, I am delighted to invite you to attend the Inaugural "Trauma Melbourne" Conference, TM2008, to be held on the 21st - 22nd November 2008 at the Sofitel Hotel in Melbourne, Victoria Australia.
Trauma Melbourne 2008 is an initiative of the National Trauma Research Institute (NTRI) and Victorian Neurotrauma Initiative (VNI), and brings together health professionals and research staff into a multidisciplinary forum.
Trauma Melbourne 2008 will also include Workshops and Education Programs that will precede the Conference (Thursday 20th November 2008). This two day Conference and associated Workshops will focus on trauma and clinical management, drawing expertise from the medical and scientific communities predominately within Australia and New Zealand. It is designed for physicians, nurses, paramedics, allied health professionals, scientists, postdoctoral fellows, residents and graduate students, with an expected 250 - 350 participants in attendance.
Trauma Melbourne 2008 will give Australia's leading researchers and clinicians a chance to learn more about current topics in trauma research and clinical management.
